Diesel Doctors’ ASE-Certified technicians are very familiar with the demands of a transmission that’s connected to a diesel engine. They know how hard these transmissions have to work to handle the extra power from a diesel engine. We also understand what needs to be done to build the diesel transmission’s capacity for pressure.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIFICALLY A DIESEL TRANSMISSION?
Technically, there is no such thing as a “diesel transmission.” The term diesel refers to the fuel that powers the engine but diesel fuel never touches the transmission. Essentially, “diesel transmissions” are just transmissions built to withstand the additional power that diesel engines generate with their lower RPMs.
These transmissions need to be able to provide additional holding capacity at lower pressures, which calls for more clutch surface, efficient pumps, and more.
WHY DO YOU NEED A SPECIFIC DIESEL TRANSMISSION SHOP?
When building a transmission for a diesel engine a lot of small, highly important alterations are made to handle different nuances of the engine. Our team is specifically trained on how to handle the intricacies of your diesel transmission. Our mechanics also
know how to diagnose what’s going on with your engine to pinpoint any issues that may be affecting your transmission. Once we know what the issue with your transmission is, we can clean, repair, and reassemble your transmission if necessary.
We can handle all possible upgrades you’d like to make to your diesel transmission. Taking your factory transmission and improving it to be stronger and more reliable than ever before!
